Founded by the Romans in 38 BC and idyllically located on the Rhine River, Cologne offers the perfect blend of historical and modern Germany. There’s no place more picturesque to drink a Kolsch beer and eat a schnitzel than on the banks of the River Rhine. Here you’ll find the Altstad, or Old Town, with the impressive Cologne Dom on the skyline.
Visitors to Cologne in November can dance the days away at the Carnival Parade. In December, no trip to Cologne’s magical Christmas markets is complete without a steaming mug of Gluhwein.
The charm extends to other seasons as well, thanks to the medieval wonders of the Cologne Cathedral and the Twelve Romanesque churches. Learn about the city’s history at the Roman-Germanic Museum or take a postmodern approach at Museum Ludwig. Whether historic or culinary, a trip to the Chocolate Museum can complete any tour.
Booking.com offers 260 different accommodations, ranging from apartments to mid-budget hotels to guest houses. So whether you’re stepping out of a plane at the Cologne Bonn Airport or a shop on Hohe Strasse, you will be sure to have a cozy room for those cool European nights.

We stayed a week in our Hotel was ideal situated, as it was few minutes from the station and perfect walking distance to all of Cologne. There is a lot to see and do here, plenty of restaurants, bars, shopping, museums, church's, boat trips and lots of walking. There's a tour bus that you can hop on and off at any stop, we use it to go to the zoo. There a cable car. We also visited the Chocolate Museum, Cafe and Ferries Wheel. Nice long walks along the Rhine. We took a boat Trip to Bonn and a train to Dusseldolf.

The city of Cologne is amazing when you love to see old buildings mixed with good shopping and great food and drinks. We went to very many places, but there are so many more that we have to visit! Everywhere you go you will find something new and exciting! It is a great place to go for a few days. When you use the metro you can go anywhere in the city within minutes for a decent price.

A city where you can do a lot of good sight-seeing like the Cathedral, shopping and relaxing in the parks and botanical garden. Lot's of good restaurants. The traffic is hectic and you need to be very alert when driving around in the city.
Lot's of parkings availble, easy to find and reach. Not too expensive. Please be aware that on Sunday shops are closed!

Based ideally next to the train station and opposite the cathedral. Only minutes away from the river and between the old town and new.
Some noise in the evening. But expected given the location.
Transportation options were great and in multi language settings.
A good choice of restaurants for all budgets.

I visited Cologne many times and I love it!
I visited Cologne many times and I love it! This time we parked the car at the Köln Arcaden, a big shopping mall in Köln-Deutz on the other side of the Rhine. You can buy a 24 hour ticket there for just €4! But remember to buy this within one hour after driving in. And try to leave a bit earlier to be sure not to pay extra. This happened to me, I had to pay an extra €10, I consider this still cheap for 24 hours parking in a big city. U Bahn and S Bahn station is at walking distance from the mall and you are in the centre in a few stops. The mall itself is fine too by the way.

Cologne was the first place in Germany I had visited 30 years ago. I fell in love with the city then and I still feel the same about it now. I was here this time for a trade fair and it was a great trip with new connections made. It has everything you need. Excellent city.
Lovely family run hotel in the centre of cologne. Bed was extremely comfortable, the room was warm (it’s chilly in December), the breakfast was delicious and the wee touches you get from a boutique hotel really added to the personality of the place (we were given a chocolate St Nicholas/Santa upon arrival). The couple running it are very friendly and more than happy to help you get the most out of your stay with ideas of what to visit and where to eat. Would highly recommend.
Perfect for the final day of a long Germany trip where we needed convenient access for a morning train and to the tourist sites. Rooms are a little small but clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast was on point with the basics all available. Friendly staff got us into one of our two rooms when we arrived by train 11am, so we were able to stow the luggage and begin enjoying the city. Bonus: many rooms have a view of the Dom.
This boutique hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from Kölner Dom and Cologne Main Train Station. We've been given one of their newly renovated rooms which we found pleasing and stylish. Separate shower and toilet with Rituals toiletries! Beds are comfortable..not too soft and hard.
Cons: The hallway is dark. Maybe additional lighting would enhance more the hallway decors.
The hotel is near airport, you'll get free shufle from the hotel for free, just book your time. Staff is extra helpfull, we had some problems, but Marco did extra mile to help us solve everything and saved our trip. Hotel and rooms are fresh, very clean and there was everything you need. Definetly recommend, and I will stay there next time i come to Cologne.
The hotel was slightly out of the City centre which was ideal as the Karneval was on. The location is very typical of north Germany so great to experience this.
The young lady working reception on Sunday 12th evening, (slim, brunette) was really helpful and cheerful when getting my wife some English tea bags and serving drinks at the bar.
The location is fantastic and the staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean. We had a kitchen and a nice size balcony where we sat some nights and had a beer. We come to Germany every year and we will look to stay here instead of Airbnb. My wife watches movies on her laptop and had no issues using VPN to watch Netflix.
Everything was great. Very artistic and stylish design. New and modern facilities, super comfy bed, very helpful staff. Location is great, 2’ walk to the 120-year-old restaurant Paeffgen with great draft beer and authentic German foods. We will definitely visit Cologne more often, thanks to this hotel.
Hotel situated in a relatively quiet semi-industrial area, about 5 minutes walk from the tram (U-bahn) line with direct connection to Cologne City Centre (about 20 minutes tram ride). Friendly staff and the usual 'no-nonsense' basic but convenient rooms and breakfast.
New Hotel/Hostel with all modern facilities.
Must stay place for your next cologne visit.
Free Bed linen, Bath and Hand Towels which you don’t get in Germany. Also you don’t have to bring the used linen to lobby like in other German Hotels.
The best hostel ever !!
The location is really great. In the heart of Cologne, this hotel give you access to great restaurants, pubs and is well connected with public transport. Easy to move around the city from here. Get the Koln Card to use the full benefits of public transport in Germany
Centrally located, close to the rail station, Cologne Cathedral, premium shopping areas, and the picturesque Rhine riverfront, this hotel offers a perfect base for exploring the city. The staff is friendly, and the facilities are excellent. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful time at the Pullman Hotel,
there have a really nice staff,
as well as a good, tasty, and diverse breakfast.
moreover, the hotel is at a great location for shopping, eating, and going out, in the main area of Cologne.
A sexy hotel, the design is fun, the bathrooms were so cool, the 24 hrs bar serving food, coffee and drinks was amazing, the checkout was super easy and its proximity from the airport is ideal for a one night stay in Cologne.
It is located very close to the Cologne Hbf. We can find many tourist attraction arround this hotel. The room was very good. We got early check-in when visited this hotel. The service was also good. Thank you Wyndham Koln
Straight forward what you see is what you get hotel. superb location for those who need to be in that area of cologne and access to a parking garage next door. Good breakfast and clean rooms, although somewhat outdated.
